Saha-Union Group company signs a joint venture agreement for a ground-mounted solar power plant project with an installed capacity of 89.998 megawatts.

On 19 December 2025, a joint venture investment agreement signing ceremony was held between Union Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Saha-Union Public Co., Ltd.) by Mr. Chutindhon Darakananda, Chairman and SCG Cleanergy Co., Ltd. (a Subsidiary of SCG) by Mr. Attapong Sathitmanomtham, Chief Executive Officer.

This joint venture Agreement (JVA) involves the development of a ground-mounted solar farm project with a total installed capacity of 89.998 MW. Electricity generated from the project will be sold to the power grid (Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand;EGAT) under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), with the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) in December 2027.

The JVA in this solar farm project by both organizations not only strengthens their strategic partnership but also aims to generate appropriate and sustainable returns for shareholders.

This solar farm project represents a renewable energy initiative that supports the government’s policy to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. It serves as a key mechanism to enhance energy security and contributes to the country’s sustainable development goals in alignment with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles.
